For students with low level of English proficiency, can they choose to study at Stamford International University?
Certainly yes. Students who have IELTS less than 5.5 as required can undertake Stamford English Program (StEP) to develop all necessary skills before starting a degree. StEP Program contains different English levels to fulfill an individual English improvement progress. Teachers are native speakers and obtain teaching qualification with student centered approach. Classroom is small and interactive to maximize their learning ability with a truly international environment. As a result, students will be able to use English fluently and confidently for their further study, real life communication and future career.

Student Exchange Program

This program enables students to earn some credits from undertaking a study at one of selected partnered universities in overseas for 1-2 terms with the affordable tuition fees.
We have collaborated with leading universitites in different countries such as Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, South Korea and many more.

International Track
Program Duration: 10 terms (trimesters)
Students are required to submit IELTS at 5.5 minimum overall score or pass Stamford English Placement Test as equivalent level. Teaching and learning will be conducted in 100% English along the entire study.

Bilingual Track
Program Duration: 11 terms (trimesters)
Study Options: English-Thai and English-Chinese
This alternative pathway is suitable for students who have lower English proficiency. They will be able to study some subjects in Thai or Chinese along with some English subjects to develop the skills step by step. Eventually, at a certain level, they will be well prepared for 100% international classes.

Rama 9 Campus

Stamford’s Rama 9 campus is conveniently located on Bangkok’s Rama IX road, near Hua Mark Airport Link Station and Hua Mark Yellow Line MRT providing an easy link between the campus and Bangkok’s city center.
Moreover, Stamford shuttle van service is available at Hua Mark Airport Link Station which is free of charge.
List of recommended accommodation nearby a campus is provided. Students may use our shuttle van service for pick-up and drop-off at different locations. Service fee is only THB 30 per single trip.

Huahin Campus

Stamford’s Hua Hin campus is located a few hours from Bangkok in the Cha Am-Hua Hin area, one of Thailand’s many world-class tourist destinations. The campus is set on a picturesque landscape overlooking the Palm Hills Golf Resort and is equipped with uniquely designed buildings for academic and residential purposes, which help create a holistic learning experience for students.
We offer an onsite residence with a separate male and female dormitory. Students may choose a single or twin room. Shuttle van service is available for pick-up and drop-off at different locations.

Academic Entry Requirement

  • A completion of high school / upper secondary school (or equivalent) from the accredited institution in Thailand and overseas. Academic transcript and high school diploma are required to submit along with the application.
    Students who hold a different qualification are recommended to contact the university to check their eligibility.
  • For students who are currently in Matayom 6 (or equivalent), you may apply by submitting the unofficial 4 or 5 terms transcript.

English Entry Requirement

  • The required English proficiency is IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (IBT) 52 (or equivalent). Students who have not taken any of these exams are still welcome to apply. Applicants can choose to sit for an English placement test on campus, if necessary.
  • Students who are not yet ready to follow an international academic program will be placed in the Stamford English Program before commencing their actual degree program.

Application is open for 3 trimesters.

  • 1st Trimester : July
  • 2nd Trimester : November
  • 3rd Trimester : March

  1. A completed application form with payment evidence of application fee
  2. A copy of Thai ID card
  3. A copy of house registration
  4. A copy of high school academic transcript and completion certificate
  5. Photograph (passport size)
