The Stamford English Program is Different!
“I studied English for years in school and still can’t speak English!” We understand your feelings, and we are here to help. The Stamford English program is not like your high school English courses.
For example, we don’t hire just anybody to teach English. All of our teachers have English teaching certificates, mostly from the best ESL training program in the world–Cambridge University (CELTA).
How does that make a difference? Well, for example, we are trained to use the 80/20 rule. What’s that? That means teachers are only allowed to speak 20% of the time in class, and students speak 80% of the time. That way, you really learn the language, not just listen to the teacher all day.
